So I had my interview yesterday with a lab rescue. I it went well. I think they'll select me. I can't wait to find my perfect match!
So what are some things I need to know about adopting a new member into my family?

Good luck with your adoption! I hope it goes well. When you bring your new family member home be sure to take him/her for a long walk before they come in. Make sure the dog knows that while it's welcome in your home it is YOUR house.

^_^ do you already know the dog you're potentially adopting or will the rescue group pic for you based on compatibility?

It;s kind of a pre-screen. They have a couple I'm potentially interested in, but most likely they'll call me up when they have someone that might fit well with my lifestyle.
It's one of those "If I adopt a dog from somewhere else, let them know," kinda thing.

I've been approved! Got the word this morning! Woohoo! They have one in mind for me, but I think I'm gonna wait a bit.
